The Blacktop Invitational is the first annual Kaneycha Turner St Basketball 5v5 Pickup Game. This event was created to raise money for the annual Stop the Violence Cookout.

Insomniacs Inc will host, The Missing Piece, a training to help organizations become fundable. The training will focus on how to attract sponsors and grantors and which to target.
There will be two 45-minute trainings from 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm. Free event, RSVP is required.

The Garfield Green St Historic District Celebration will recognize the neighborhood's rich historical history and cultural signifance with an unveiling, a free market with vendors and food trucks, active volunteer headstone preservation, Morningside school tour and live music. Brought to you by the Statesville African American Heritage Preservation Commission and the City of Statesville.

Following this event, Insomniacs Inc is hosting The Culture Cut, a film night soiree at the Iredell Arts Council in downtown Statesville. A cocktail hour will start the evening off with a live vibe curation followed by the showing of Spike Lee's Crooklyn. Snacks and beverages will be available.

The Juneteenth Statesville Committee will host the annual Statesville Juneteenth Festival in downtown Statesville from 11am - 7 pm. Celebrating 160 years of resilience. This is a Juneteenth Legacy. Scholarships, grants, kids zone, live entertainment, and great food and more is what to expect. This is a free event.

4th Ward Productiosn presents What's Your Talent, a community talent show with a cash prize of $250. Held at the Unity Center in Statesville, NC from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Tickets are on sale now. Kids 16 and under, free.
